Best Sushi in North Carolina. There's no dish not worth trying since they're all amazingly prepared with such care and gusto and are delicious. They have a great outdoor seating section and inside is very cozy. You can even sit by a bar in the back where you can interact with the chef and his crew. Great restaurant for both lunch or dinner.

I can't even enjoy sushi anywhere else after eating here. I have been enjoying Umi since it first opened, and nowhere else hits the spot for fresh sushi. It's consistently amazing, fresh, and delicious. Don't miss the spicy crab salad appetizer or the Sumo Roll. Everything is delicious, but the sushi bar steals the show. Service is always on point, and the owners very friendly.

A great meal was enjoyed by all. I must say many of the dishes we had would rate among the best Japanese dishes we have had anywhere. Prices are reasonable for the quality served. A great restaurant we will soon be returning to!

We come here when we visit family near by. We have always been very happy with the food and service. Nice relaxing atmosphere in one of my favorite places to visit in western North Carolina. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a fresh place to eat.
