Good food, kid friendly, lots of choice. Had the chicken and grits and it was very good. The coconut cake is amazing. We will be back. 4 stars because the service can be hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a great server and other times you'll get someone that makes you feel like you're just an obstacle to the end of their shift.

Fries were room temp even though were special order of sweet potato fries...chicken breading was very dark and almost burned for fried chicken. Coffee was good and waitress was attentive especially to our group of about 15.. she did good.

LOVE this place! Literally everyone on the staff is great, especially Kim, who also makes the homemade desserts. All the pies and cakes etc.. are some the best I've had, truly homemade and delicious. (Kudos for the Valentine special chocolate "cake"! Melt in your mouth treat) Food is always good, consistent, and served hot. Thanks to all...

Bennett Pointe Grill has many things going for it. It's a Durham institution, having been here for years. They must be great to their staff because they seem to retain them and they seem to work quickly even when the place is packed to the gills. I've had a member of the staff seem rushed a time or two, but I take it as them being busy but trying to fulfill everyone's needs. The bar area is pleasant. They also can arrange seating for large groups, which is of great value (last time we sat a party of 11 all together). They take reservations as well. It actually pains me to say anything about the place that's negative, because I do think there are some positive aspects to the place. The food is just okay. It isn't special. There isn't anything you couldn't make at home without the proper supplies. It is usually slightly undercooked or pretty overcooked I've noticed. The acoustics are also incredibly loud. A table of six would have a hard time hearing one another from one end to the other. If you don't like noise, don't go here on a busy day.

Every small detail is excellent, from the homemade soup and salad dressing to a variety of sandwiches and entrees. Friendly service and homemade desserts. Great gulf shrimp for poboy sandwich or pasta Alfredo.
