I recently went to the opening of Office Evolution (University Research Park) and it was catered by The Trail House. I tasted the spring rolls and chicken skewers and they were amazing! A lot of times chicken skewers can be dry, but this one was tender and flavorful. They were sitting in a sweet and sour sauce that was light and flavorful. I am not a big fan of spring rolls, but these were soft, with a tasty sauce drizzled on top of them. They had brownies for dessert and they were amazing! Lastly, the two caterers from the restaurant were very attentive and helpful. I can't wait to visit this restaurant and eat a full meal. If the food is anything like the appetizers I ate tonight, I'm sure I'm in for a treat!!

What I liked about the trail house or the mini sliders, they're great for Restaurant Week the quality and quantity of food is excellent. I enjoy their tacos and they often have live music bands. I have had some dishes that were Hit or Miss but not enough to make me stop going. I just learned to go specifically for what I enjoy.

The food is great and all the staff is great and very friendly. The only bad thing about this place is the manager. He's a hot head just looking for trouble. I brought my sister there from out of town after going to a funeral to try and show her a good time. When we were about to leave, I asked the guy at the host stand if I could have a to go cup. He pointed and showed me where to go get it. As I'm picking up the cup some little short man comes and grabs the cup out of my hand. I tried explaining to him that I was told by his staff to get this cup. He's trying to be all stuff in a situation that didn't require all that. As I was turning away he then shoved me in the back and started yelling at me to get out. Head if security saw that I was not doing anything wrong and apologized to me and made the manager go sit down. I've never seen someone so short tempered and angry that is supposed to be managing a restaurant. The owner should definitely look into getting a new manager.

After reading reviews we decided to try it. When they say the service is either on or off i guess we got the off day. Food was good but I ordered a pork belly slider and received a burger instead. Good beer choices but I seemed to bother the waitress asking what craft beers were on tap. Her first response was they rotate, which is great but what are they was my question. I guess if you go in on a night when the service is good then it's worth a try but its a gamble to know when that is especially when they weren't even busy.

Great vibe, food, and specials. Trivia nights are fun, plenty of TVs, and great drinks. They have about 8 taps with rotating local craft beers. My favorite day is Tuesday with kids eat free and half price pints (ANY draft for $2.50). Kids meals are already a great value since they get an entree, side, drink AND dessert for a great price. The nachos and fish tacos are fabulous.
