A little on the pricey side but very "intelligent" interior, being right on the Research Campus. Pithy quotes line the walls, and lovely subtle dining room. One used to be able to look out the window over the research campus but the church across the street has expanded, blocking the view. The sweet potato chips that are served complimentary, and the sweet potato fries are the best anywhere. Worth going just for that. The club sandwich is excellent. Great place to go.

Had 11 family members here for Christmas-time get-together. Spent over $600. Food was good, though not as good as I remember it from prior year. Near end of meal, our red wine bottle was empty, and I wanted to be sure no one was left wanting, so I asked for another bottle. When ready to leave, that $28 bottle was missing only a bit (probably half to two-thirds of a single glass missing). As I've done at many other restaurants, I asked them to cork it to take it home with us (in our trunk, of course). The server left, then returned to say they refused my request (and her demeanor changed from that point on), telling me it would be illegal for them to do that as it was against NC law. As one of our guests works at a high-end restaurant in the area, and we've done this many times other places, none of us believed that to be true. The server sent the manager who said the same thing, though eventually shifted the reason to be "against store policy", not "against the law". I've since looked it up and there is indeed no law against it, and most places consider it preferable to send people home with a partial bottle than to encourage them to drink beyond what they'd wanted to before hitting the road. Bad policy, bad handling, left bad taste. I'll spend my $601.35 elsewhere next time.

We always end up coming here if we go out to eat for lunch. The menu is always a little different allowing you to never eat the same food all the time. I've been here about 5 times now with the food being top tier each and every time. If you are driving by and want somewhere to eat thays affordable while also keeping it classy this is the place to go.
