Charming place to eat in downtown with great cocktails. This reminds you of being at someone's house for an intimate dinner.

The Rockford has become our special occasion restaurant. The menu changes often with seasonal Availability. However there brunch is always amazing And the atmosphere is always welcoming and warm. If You're looking for a special occasion dinnerI highly recommend the Rockford. Pricing is very reasonable.

One of my top fave restaurants in Raleigh. Been going for 10+ years. Been a while since I've been, but consistently over 10 years it's been a top of my list place. It gets crowded but the food is worth it. Go for lunch, same great food, and awesome views out the big windows. They usually have good options for vegetarians. If you are going there on a first date or something, you should know there is a steep staircase going up to the restaurant to maybe don't wear your highest stilletos - or do, and just be awesome and don't fall. I personally wear flats when I go. Also, the bathrooms are a bit weird, they are clean -- that's not what I mean - I can't remember exactly but maybe there is a weird like sink area in a separate door area? Anyway, if you get confused going to use the ladies room - it's not just you. Again, the steep hike up and the weird bathroom kinda gives it it's charm, maybe? There goat cheese salad is really good. There salad dressings are all really great. They had this sandwich which was basically french toast with bacon and green apples on it - which sounds kinda out there - but was what I ordered every time for about three years - they took it off the menu for a while, which was when I stopped going - but if it's on the menu you should get this if you like weird stuff like that. Wine is good. All drinks are good. Prices are fair. Ok, so yea - go try it out!

Upbeat, friendly, and helpful staff without being intrusive. Their cocktail selection was fun and tasty. I'm not a Cubano expert but The Rockford's Cubano sandwich is the best I've had this year. Plenty of flavor and great bread, cheese, and texture.
