I LOVE this pizza. They aren't lying, it's totally N.Y. style. Very convenient because it's by the slice. I have only tried the cheese and pepperoni, but it is the best pizza I have ever tasted. I have come here many times and mean to again soon. The pizza is prepared right in front of you, it is nice to watch them do that while you wait. Great service. Buy pizza HERE!

Great New York style pizza, you can call in and carry out or dine in. They also offer by the slice for a quick lunch. Their staff is always friendly and a pleasure to talk with and last but not least they always have a great beer selection.

Although I live 18 miles from SoPies, I go out of my way regularly to buy their pizza because it is the best in North Carolina. After today, I will no longer be a customer. (12/22/17) I called ahead and ordered a pizza to go and was told that it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I arrived at the store in 15 minutes and the cashier quickly took my money telling me to have a seat at the bar and my name would be called when my pizza was ready. When I sat at the bar (within arms length of two guys making pizzas) I noticed 5 or 6 boxed pizzas on top of the oven. 3 or 4 more pizzas were taken out of the oven, boxed and placed above the oven while I sat there. After waiting 20 minutes, I showed one of these guys my receipt and he tried to hand me an order just taken out of the oven. I told him this was not my order so he checked it again and handed me one of the boxed pizzas that were taken out of the oven and boxed while I sat close enough to reach out and touch him. At no time was my name called. When I asked why I was not given the pizza earlier he told me that it was my fault for not asking earlier. So much for the above instructions that my name would be called. They were busy and I would have been satisfied with a simple "sorry we are very busy" but instead I was told that it was my fault for not speaking up. I will miss my SoPies pizza but I will not tolerate such rude customer service.

If you happen to find yourself in the quaint downtown of Southern Pines and are looking for pizza well above the grade of any chain or frozen options, SoPies is without question where you want to stop. The ingredients are fresh and the prices are right. The by the slice pizza is of course thrown in the oven upon request but come out just as good as a fresh pie. The local beer selection is great and the garlic knots are HUGE! The staff is friendly and service is quick. SoPies is well established and have earned their reputation as the best pizza joint in Southern Pines in my book!

Really good pizza for this area. Whole pies are not cheap but you will be hard pressed to find a better pizza place for quite a long ways.
