Elegant food for reasonable prices. Super friendly wait staff. It's fun to sit at the bar at lunch hour. Best place to eat east of Durham. See numerous good reviews on Open Table. Worth driving and hour and a half to eat there, but make reservations for dinner. Half of Tarboro eats lunch here.

Such amazing food and great staff. Always feel welcomed and they include the personal touch. The food is always changing according to the season. I recommend this place to everyone that is local and visiting the area.

Dinner is great here. Lunch is just ok. Service at lunch could use a vast improvement in the friendliness area. I have eaten here several times and it’s always the same. Dinner how ever is the best in the area.

I have eaten at this establishment a few times a year for 6 years. My absolute favorite dish was the lobster ravioli the price however was quite inflated considering the puny portions. The three times that I attended sushi night left much to be desired in the service department. Not only did it take 30+ minutes for one sushi roll, I had to wait 15minutes for my order to be taken. The truffle fries left me scratching my head. As there was no discernible truffle flavor and they were quite overcooked. This place leaves much to be desired in terms of service. If dining alone and not a part of the weekly regular clique brace yourself for the cold atmosphere. The last time I ate here I decided I would never return.

With a greeting of “do you have a reservation?” with only one table seated, we sat down next to a party of 8. When asking about an offering, the server read the same description I read and said, “everything is good here.” We were later asked, “Is this your first time here?” as if we were aliens for not having dined here before. We felt more like a hindrance than as welcome guests. Food was decent but did not enjoy the dining experience. Disappointed.
