Atmosphere was nice, setting was clean. We were greeted at the door by what appeared genuinely nice workers who seemed to like their jobs..mad you feel welcome . Waited on in a timely manner by a waiter that was friendly but kept saying the same line repeatedly..referencing..taking our time ..he was in "no rush because he is here all night" which after the third time hearing it you felt he was really wishing a person would move it. The order was out in about 20 minutes. My chicken asparagus pasta was good, the food was great temp, smelled and looked nice. It came with a piece of garlic toast. I was a bit disappointed in the menu.it seems the menu has shrunk. . I enjoyed my self and would go back again.

Stopped in noon on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but we had no problem getting a seat. The service was great (Alec was our server) and the food was exceptional. Glad we decided to eat here. There is a good diversity of food and drinks including craft beers. There is also a large parking lot with plenty of available space.

Went to your mothers day buffet WOW!!!! what a cluster ****. I literally gave up on eating. Paid $25 and didnt even get to 1/3 of what you had to offer. Why did you change the buffet setup. If I do not want a omelet i should not need to wait for 30 others to get theirs so i can get a piece of prime rib. The lines were terrible and you are to greedy and try to pack them in. Eliminating setting around the buffet tables would have helped. I will never spend a Mothers day at your restaurant again. Come on Manager you had to have seen how disorganized the buffet service went and the incredible long wait times in line.

Ordered take-out last night. Host who took the call was impatient and short, plus argumentative. I had called 15minutes earlier to see if the still make a certain sandwich and was assured they did by another host. He more or less accused me of making it up and told me they have never made that sandwich, a Cuban. Ordered different food then. When I returned with the food, we had soup but no spoons, no napkins, the wrong wrap and my sandwich, the overlake, tasted like it had been stored in the fridge for a week and reheated in the microwave. They must have changed their recipe for the cheddar ale soup because that was nowhere near as good as it used to be. Giant thumbs down on both the service and food....will not be returning and will encourage others to do the same.

Granite City has a great relaxing atmosphere. The food was good and the beer was great. However my table waited a long time for our food even though the restaurant was basically empty. If you have time to come for a good sit down meal, this is the place. If you're in a hurry, I would suggest another restaurant.
