Every time I go here the staff is extremely kind. Not to mention caring as well. A super sweet girl who took my order was so polite the whole time and even offered suggestions on which blizzards to get. The peanut butter cookie dough is delicious!! I see some reviews of people complaining over stupid stuff. Come on people, really?? Double cupping is a common thing at ALL Dairy Queen's! Do you not realize a majority of the candies put in blizzards cause the cups to rip? Just eat the damn thing and shut up! And yes orders do accidentally get switched up/messed up all the time but this is the only fast food place around that has workers that truly care when they mess up orders!
I also wanted to share another experience here on behalf of my mother who went here a few months ago. She had went through the drive thru and she explained to me that right when she pulled up the girl who took her order was so polite and sweet. As she pulled around to the window she only had change on her and started to get anxious that the girl working the drive thru would get upset that my mother was paying in all change (my mother is getting older, tends to worry a lot, and also has trouble with her hands shaking at times . It also just so happened that she was having a very bad day this day). So she pulls up to the window and the girl greets her and tells her the total. Immediately my mother starts to panic and keeps telling the young lady that she's so sorry for paying in all change. My mothers hands had started to shake a little as she was trying to hand the young lady the change. The girl noticed and placed both her hands under my mothers and told her, "money is money. I don't mind if you'd choose to pay in all pennies! This immediately put my mother at ease. My mother also mentioned that she dropped a few coins and the girl said "Don't worry I'll get them for you!" and the girl walked out the side door and picked up the change for my mother. Then as the young lady was waiting for the rest of my mother's order to come out she started talking to my mom and asked her how her day was going. Like I said in the beginning of this novel I'm typing my mother was not having a good day at all. So my mom explained to the girl that she wasn't having the best of days and the girl told her that she was so sorry to hear that and that she hoped things would start getting better. So after my mom gets the rest of her order of course the girl is telling her to have a better day and my mom looked at the girl and said, "thank you for being so kind" as tears started streaming down her face. She drove off and she started to grab food out of her bag and soon she realized there was a note inside her bag! Automatically my mom knows it has to be from that polite young lady that had more of an impact on her then what she had expected before going there. This kind hearted girl wrote my mom a small note that said, "I'm so sorry you're not having the best day. I hope things start looking up for you soon. That made my mother sob tears of happiness. This young lady had made such an impact on my mother that day without even knowing it most likely. She was being kind just to make others happy. My mother talks about that day and that girl all the time. She even went back a few days after this occurred but the girl wasn't working then. My mother did keep the receipt because there's a name on the bottom of it but that's not always who's actually waiting on you (just an FYI because plenty of people assume that). My mother told me how she told the manager about it and tried to describe the girl cause they don't have name tags and she's pretty sure she knew who it was. All in all, this Dairy Queen employee went above and beyond for my mother and you just don't find that anywhere anymore!
