We ate there today for breakfast. First, I will say the waitress was very nice and did refill our coffee cups. When we got our food, it was cold so we had to send it back. We ordered an egg, biscuits and gravy, and their home fries. The eggs and coffee was fine. The biscuits and gravy left something to be desired. The biscuits weren't fluffy like you'd get at Bob Evans or TJ's. The weren't rolled out and cut. They were what is called drop biscuits. They are mixed and dropped by spoonfuls on the baking sheet. These biscuits were more like weapons. Small and hard. The gravy was okay. I agree to go back there hoping my choice in food was wrong, but whatever I get, it is never right.

We shared this place with our family today. We just moved to town and have been to the corner cafe a hand full of times. We love breakfast, while our waiter was great, the food was ok. I never give reviews but thought I should share. The main thing that I have observed in the five times we have been here is how the manager/owner seems to always be in the distance. They were short staffed today and instead of pitching in with helping to clean tables, greet costumers, etc. She stood in the corner behind the bar and watched. I have been to several family owned restaurants and franchise restaurants and when those restaurants have been slammed or short staffed the management chips in. It's about team work and communuty. The five times we have been there it seems to be the same story.. short staffed and the owner standing in the distance. Everyone should pitch in. On a side note our waiter today was awesome he seemed a little stressed but had great customer service and was positive attitude. Just wanted to share as I feel it's necessary for a business to have the place of community and teamwork in their work place.

Food is very good. Service very good. Nice older "lunch after church" type of place. Will go again for sure.

There were 4 of us that went. Half of the food was done poorly while the other half was decent. Service was poor. Drinks weren't filled often. One time, when our coffee was empty, a pot was brought to us that didn't fill the cups, however it took them 5-8 minutes before more was brought. While pouring the little bit of coffee into 1 cup, which didn't even fill it up a quarter of the way, much of it was spilt but not cleaned up by the waitress.

Been here twice. The cleanliness of the building is okay, they are lacking in some areas. The food is good for the most part, I've had better and gotten more for the cost. Might be back.
