If you like grilled cheese, and even if you don’t, you should try Gouda. Went there for a lunch meeting and my sandwich and fries were excellent! I got the caprese grilled cheese which has fresh mozzarella, pesto, and tomatoes! Think of this place as a low key, easier to eat Melt. The atmosphere has chill vibes and there are plenty of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and appetizers to choose from. I definitely look forward to returning to try another sandwich!

We were hesitant initially to visit Gouda because there are so many lovely places to eat in Wooster, and we were not sure if it would measure up to similar restaurants like The Melt. However, we were pleasantly surprised be the food. The restaurant itself is lovely - very sleek and modern. The food was not nearly as greasy as The Melt (you won't feel as though you'll go into cardiac arrest following a sandwich), and the flavors were unique and fresh. My wife and I ordered two different sandwiches, and then we traded halves - both were delightful. The service was fast, and we certainly would be open to going back again.

Nice place for some good comfort food. **Edit** Went back twice, so far. Really love the burgers and Mac N cheese. Will make this restaurant a go to destination for those times when we're not sure where we want to eat.

Pretty good food, service was okay (not very busy but servers weren't super attentive). No drink menu despite full bar however did have popular craft beers on tap. I ordered a gin and tonic and ended up sending it back due to completely flat tonic. Second drink wasn't much better unfortunately. Willing to give it another shot since the food was good and came out blasting hot which is a win in my book.

The first time I went was during a weekday for lunch. I had the portobello mushroom melt with fries. Fries were good and crispy, and the sandwich was delicious. I went a few days later on a Friday night. Service was very slow. We ended up getting our appetizer with our meal. Our water was never refilled. I had the jalapeno poppers melt. So rich and salty I couldn't eat the whole thing.
