I travel for work, and love Hibachi. I was coming in to Durant for an appointment, and I decided to call Tokyo 30 minutes ahead of time, so I could stop and get a togo order. I had read the reviews and was slightly skeptical, as they were not good reviews. But, I decided to give it a shot, and since it was a to go order, I figured it would be just fine. Especially, with a 30 minute call ahead. Well I arrived at the restaurant, and no one was at the front, and so I waited a short while. A gentleman, then finally came to help me, but he could not find my order. He said he was not the person that took the order, and so would check in the kitchen. I decided to go use the restroom while he was checking. When I came back to the counter, the gentleman that was going to check was nowhere to be found. At this point, I was running short on time. I figured with 30 minutes notice, they would have my order ready. Then another guy came and told me that it was not ready. I asked him how long it would take, and he said anywhere from 10-15 minutes. I asked him, if he could just throw some chicken and rice in a box to make it quick, and I could go. Then he sarcastically said "the rice and chicken don't cook themselves." I was so embarrassed and upset. I just told him, nevermind and walked out. I cannot imagine spending my money at a place like this. I would have become their faithful customer when I was in the area, if I had better treatment; but now I will never come back. I hope this review helps someone, and they don't have to go through what I went through.

Went there yesterday for lunch. Arrived at 12:05 left at 12:55 still waiting for food that never showed up. Didn't get to eat lunch yesterday. THANK YOU TOKYO for another lovely experience. Another restaurant in Durant I will not go to. It is so dark in there you have to use a flashlight to read the menu. Way overpriced for what you get.

Food- the sushi tasted good, but could’ve been rolled better. Overall the food was to our liking, but it seemed as though the sushi chef thought he was better than he actually was. Service- the server was nice, but he inadvertently charged us for an iced tea. The sushi chef announced to the restaurant that he was sick and upset that he had to work when he was sick. Not exactly what you want to hear from the guy rolling your sushi. In addition to this, he announced to the restaurant that he is the chef and he can say whatever the f%#€ he wants to. This was after he was already cussing left and right. Definitely wouldn’t bring my family here to eat Price- fairly priced.

The restaurant was so dark you can't properly see anything. The waiter and waitress were RUDE. Our salad was made with the hearts of the lettuce and was so bitter we could not eat it, and when we informed the waitress she shrugged, and just walked off. The wait time for food was unreal. Will not go back. On the plus side we explained to the manager the numerous issues and he comped the meal because it was inedible.

Hubby and I have eaten here many times. With family and as a couple. Akways have awesome food. Tonight we had just Sushi. It was outstanding.
