Not knowing what time they closed, we came in right at closing. We were going to leave but the waitress told us to stay. She made us feel very welcome. The food was very good. Nice, cozy, cute and good. Extremely friendly.

This is our second time to eat here and enjoyed another good experience. Sat at the bar again, and the bartenders were on the ball and took great care of us. Food was good, standard bar stuff. Wife got the shrimp basket, I really love the breading on the shrimp! I chose the chicken and catfish basket with fried okra. Like the breading on the catfish but the chicken batter is kinda bland, wish they used the shrimp batter for it, believe it would be about 10 times better. All the food was hot and properly prepared. Bathrooms were clean. Cocktails were about a $1 more than what we pay for in the city, but still tasted great. I tried the “Rooster Cogburn” which has fresh brewed sweet tea, bourbon, and peach schnapps - really enjoyed that, very smooth. Wife got the adult cherry limeade, it was quite tasty. Forgot to check beer prices.

I don’t think that they deserve a 1-2 Star review as others have given. That being said I believe they are in the wrong frame of mind. We arrived at 12:00 and even with very few people there the wait time was longer than typical for fried food. Usually, I check reviews before going to a new place but this time I actually did so while I was waiting for our food. They had some great reviews which gave me hope but it’s the negative reviews that got my interest. Long wait times is what stood out to me. Thankfully our food came within a reasonable amount of time for a vacation spot assuming your not in a rush and they did bring us our drinks and refills in a timely manner. What really made me question this place was what they stated in their menu. Basically this is a tourist town which brings larger than normal crowds so if your not patient or if your rude don’t come back. I thought how rude! Maybe instead of telling people not to come back fix an obvious problem. Now that being said I am sure some customers can be jerks and I have experienced several during my years as a waiter in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We had a large group and this is not a great place for that. We waited an hour and a half for our food. The waitress we had did a great job but she seemed to be spread pretty thin. I did not care for the chicken strips at all, which had a sweet taste. The okra was bland but that could have been due to my allergies and the fact that it isn't in season. I'm giving it three stars for the effort and because maybe the food appeals to others though I didn't care for it at all.
