Food isn't awful, but is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Very hit or miss and it's too pricey to be hit or miss. Service is also incredibly slow. You need to budget well over an hour, most of which will involve waiting for your food. If the place is busy literally just forget it unless you've got a whole morning or afternoon.

Had Thanksgiving there. Dessert was not good, to much sage in dressing, and my ham was very dry. Appreciate them being there for the ones that don't have a family dinner

Good ol home cooking. Breads fried chicken and country veggies my favorite. A landmark in McAlister
