The atmosphere is natural, creative, relaxing, and a bit funky. Unfortunately our server was curt and at times snarky. I can't remember ever feeling like I was being a bother to my server until this experience. Our drinks were creative & well mixed. Sadly we waited 90 minutes for our food to arrive. That is certainly understandable at times but there were only 2 other people in the entire restaurant. When we finally tucked into our food it was with mixed results. The ribs were tender & tasty. Pizza could be easily recommended. Fish & chips were "underwhelming" according to the one who ate them. I had the lamb burger; it was quite flavorful but noticeably raw. I take my burgers mid rare but this burger was purple and stringy. I'm familiar with cooking ground lamb, and I know it turns out more pink than beef - this was raw. I would have mentioned it to my server but he didn't return to the table for 20 minutes after bringing our food. By then the food was cold & I'd had enough. I've heard great things about this restaurant but the general consensus from our party was that we were not interested in coming back.

Came in at 6 pm, no other customers were there, and no one came out or said anything for about 10 minutes. Saw employees see us and they said nothing. We left after a few more minutes. Was really excited to try it.

WORST RESTUARNT IN THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY. Okay, so this is without a doubt the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I have lived in Corvallis for nearly a decade, but have refrained from visiting this restaurant based on comments from fellow Corvallis citizens. However, I finally decide to go against the reviews from my brethren and attend this place for dinner. But, before I go further, I should put into perspective the mood of the evening. We were celebrating the promotion of two amazing women, in which we felt that FireWorks would be the best place to celebrate this achievement... Boy, were we ever wrong. We got there and the service was immediately under par, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt (it is a small dining area and it was quite full). At last, our order and drink order were taken. After SEVERAL minutes, we finally received our drinks (this should have been the time that we receiving our appetizers, not just our drinks). Then, we finish our starters and desire to have another drink. But, we are subtlety expressing to our server that we need a new drink, as to not be "those" type of customers. However, after several minutes of the server walking past us, I decided to approach the bar myself and ask for another drink... This is when things got exciting (or really embarrassing if you are part of FireWorks). When I ask the server for another glass of wine for one of my guests, he rudely tells me that he cannot serve another glass of wine to my guest in question. I immediately ask him why (if I remembered his name, I would surely list it here). He tells me that the person I am with is being too loud and that he is unable to serve another drink. I was respectful and asked him what he meant, as my guest was simply talking at the same volume as the remainder of the dining room. The server continues by telling me that they have a "list" that they refer to and that the person I was with was violating this "list". Knowing that the person I was with was not violating anything, I politely asked the server to show me the list he was referring to. He told me he was unable to share the list, something that should have been public information. I ask him again for the list, and this time he tells me it is in his head. Well, this was rather interesting to hear, so I asked him yet again to see this "list" that he was referring to. He again told me the list was in his head, in which I responded, "A list in your head wouldn't go over well with a lawyer." (That comment was simply to illustrate that made-up lists hold no weight, as no right to refuse service sign was seen). That reply clearly made him feel uncomfortable, as he proceeded to kick me and my family out of the restaurant. This is the worst dining experience I have EVER experienced and would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. I feel SORRY for the owners of this place, as they likely don't know what TYPE OF PEOPLE they have working for them. On that note, me and my family are brown and proud (Mexican American), two gay persons, and a Chinese. This experience makes me question the morality of FireWorks (e.g., are they racist, anti-gay, etc). Based on my experience, I would have to assume so. PERIOD.
