Now I'm not really a fan of seafood. This review is going out to those seafood haters too! This place has outstanding burgers for being a seafood place. You're next to the bay where people are crabbing, people are often times friendly, and its very cozy! Love it.

Paid 19.95 for 3 small fish hunks, fries ,a tiny cup of clam chowder and 1/2 slice of cold stale bread. Asked for no ice & waitress brought a glass of root beer that was 2/3 full of ice. When I asked for a little more root beer, she brought the same thing.Portions were so small did not even get full! Given that some chemo patients are forbidden icy drinks. There were only 5 tables with customers and 6 staff. Service was still slow. Mo's has always been a favorite place to go in Florence. No more. I always tip but not this time. I have worked waiting tables and understand when there is a rush of tables to serve.Took 30 minutes to even order! Thoroughly disgusted. Will not go back. Leave Mo's to out of state tourists. This Oregonian will not go back.

People seem to have nostalgia for Mo's it is a great setting, great view of the river and docks. The chowder is more like potato soup with some clams... It's ok. The fish tacos aren't very flavorful, there seemed to be little effort in preparation, and I guess I have come to expect more than a standard salsa out of a jar with fish tacos. The halibut that my fellow dinners ordered was delicious and also a very generous portion! I have a strong preference for the other waterfront restaurant nearby.

Great Seafood options and the best Chowder on the coast. Any of the locations offer great food and a great environment for what it is. I frequent the most in Florence the most. Almost everything you could ask for.

While it's had a downward tendency over the years, it's still a nice spot to enjoy a meal on the river. The clam chowder is good and it's the iconic dish. Is it the best? Too subjective for me to answer objectively but I have had chowder at other places with heavier cream, more clams, better balance of ingredients etc. but it's definitely good. The bread bowls are rarely fresh which has it's pros and cons but mostly cons. However, the bottom line is it's good. Whether it's the best as claimed or not is for each person to determine. It's good. The service is for the most part good. Every place and waitperson has it's off days but the norm here is good service and good food. It's not exceptional but it's iconic and a regular stop for us.
