Most Chinese restaurants I have been to in my life have offered food that may not be called great but at least is not god awful. And almost all the time they have a run down dining room that shows little to no upkeep and oftentimes years of neglect. Sometimes so bad that I just could not bring myself to do a sit down meal there due to the conditions of the dinging room. New Hings is quite the exception. There dining area is very clean and orderly and the wait staff has always been very friendly and outgoing over the years we have gone there. The food is not mind blowing which is not a bad thing. I can think of only a handful of American Chinese joints I've been to over the past 30 years that innovate and offer a culinary sensation. And those exceptions have always been in HUGE cities like LA, San Francisco and New York. The price is always to match as well. New Hings is like an old school diner where you know you would always get decent food, great portions, and attentive service. I've never been let down and it remains a trusty standby when it's my turn to "cook" for my family.

I felt like it was a good Asian restaurant for sure. The plate sizes were a really good quantity. And the food was good. It wasn't too expensive either. Most of the lunch dishes were between 6 and 9 dollars a dish. I got the Chicken Chow Fun and it was definitely good. Paying to park is a pain, so add that to the bill. But, besides that, it was a good experience

Nice shop off a moderately busy street. Parking is a premium but lots of options within walking distance. The interior is welcoming and updated. More inviting than many drab restaurants and has some nice window seating. Huge bar with lots of options. The food is pretty generic in terms of Chinese food. Very much for the American pallete. That being said, it was good. The happy family had lots of shrimp and chicken. The veggies were perfectly cooked. The rice added to the happy family at the end was a great way to absorb and enjoy the meal. I'll go back. It was good.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY! I ordered delivery at 5:30 pm, they said it would be an hour. Called back at 7 and they said it was out for delivery. Called back at 8 and they told me it had been delivered and that I signed the credit card receipt and gave a $3 tip. After arguing for 30 minutes with me they said that the driver could deliver my food tomorrow for free. I said I was hungry tonight! She said ok than you can come and pick it up yourself. When I arrived she asked for my ID to prove I was who I said I was. Then she showed me the receipt and someone else had signed it. It was not my signature. She then tells me that she will not refund my money for the inconvenience because she is sure it was delivered. She was actually calling me a lier! She asked me why I waited so long to call and seemed to imply that while I was eating my delivered food I concocted a plan to get more food for free! Finally after further argument, she takes my ID with her into the kitchen to get my food and returns with the food and without my ID. I asked for my ID back and she went and got it but stopped in the office to make a copy of it. I asked her why she took a copy without my permission and she just said oh it’s business. She would talk to the driver and if he says he didn’t deliver it than she would refund my money. But if he says he did deliver it, she will not refund the money. I am still in shock over the way I was treated. I have never been called a lier and it isn’t sitting well with me. She had no regard for customer service or my future business. “She” I was told, is the owner. Let’s talk about the food. I very unwilling ate it since I went through so much to get it. It is made with MSG and gave me horrible nightmares which MSG does to me. I was given a whole order of fried rice and paid for it when all I wanted was a side which comes with the chicken. The fried shrimp was awful and I pray I do not get food poisoning from it. It was all very salty and is sitting like a brick in my stomach still. Good luck if you choose to eat here. Negative 3 stars here!
