I am familiar with the Muchas Gracias chain of express Mexican restaurants, and I've got to say, this one is the worst I've been to. I had the #6 bean burrito and enchilada combo. The flour tortilla on my burrito was microwaved, having that chewy, partially heated texture. My enchilada was lukewarm, the shredded cheese barely even melted over the top. The rice and beans were acceptable, but the rice seemed undercooked, still having a bit of a crunch to it. The service was poor. I was waiting at the window inside a completely empty restaurant while someone near the back counter sauce bar ignored me. The only reason I'm not giving this place a solid single star is because it's clean inside. Otherwise, this place is as horrible as the other reviewers have mentioned. In a city like Salem where there are more Mexican restaurants than nearly any other type, don't bother coming here. If you are craving Muchas Gracias, travel a little farther to the one in West Salem just across the bridge. This one doesn't deserve your money.

I'm leaving this review because I went there tonight to get Nachos. I ordered the ground beef and got home to find out they gave me the shredded beef instead (not the first time it has happened.) Normally I would shrug it off because the Nachos are still good, but I just wasn't feeling shredded beef tonight. I tried calling to let them know about their mistake. They picked up the phone and hung up. I tried calling back, but after the first attempt ... no one ever picked up. I would have driven back if it wasn't so far away. I ended up just throwing them out. I'm extremely disappointed. I do like the food here, but if you can't answer your phone in order to address issues that may arise. You might as well close the doors. This completely turned me off to this restaurant and I most likely wont be going back which is a shame. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that answer their phone and provide quality food AND service. I suggest trying someone else as you won't find that here apparently.

Long story short, I won't be coming back here to eat. The service was OK. They ordered my drink wrong, but they did correct it. The food was meh. I had a long piece of hair in my food that disgusted me. The chimichanga was very hot on one end and then slightly warm in the middle. It was placed on top of paper in a basket which got soggy and tore as I was trying to eat. I ended up taking the chimichanga off the paper and put it in the basket. The meal was really just mediocre. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants that are far superior than this. This was my first time here, and it's my last.

Food was prepared quick and complete. They went above and beyond for my picky eater. He was very happy with his lunch made just the way he wanted. Been a happy customer for 7 years.

Great new remodel! Food is delicious! I recommend the Chipotle burrito.
