VERY good place. We had some very tender and tasty halibut, and it was filling too. The food was prepared perfectly. Good view and overall a good high-end restaurant experience.

Out of town visitors beware. After spending the day in the Oregon wine country, was shocked at their $35 corkage fee for Oregon wine! Also had a limited, over-priced menu in the restaurant. They recovered well, however, by moving us to the bar where the menu was broader and our server Tim was great. Thanks Tim.

My coworkers and I stopped in here the other night. We’ve enjoyed the local cuisine so far but the portion sizes have been way too much so we wanted a change of scene. I’m soooo glad we did! The pork belly was amazing, tender and crispy. The perfect amount of sweet and salty. I also had the duck w/ lentils and Brussels sprouts. The duck will absolutely melt in your mouth, and I don’t know what particular brand of crack they use in the Brussels sprouts, but it was life changing. Perfect portion sizes in my opinion! The service was fantastic, they took very good care of us here. I will say that the food was so good it ruined other restaurants for me. Last night we visited another restaurant in town with excellent reviews, but the food fell flat for me and I kept talking about the Bay House. My only regret was that I couldn’t eat it all due to being pregnant in my first trimester so food in general makes me ill. I will say that I never powered through the sickness so hard until I tried their food. I WILL be back tonight to give it another go, mark. my. words!!!

Food was OK but they substituted CHICKEN for DUCK! I'd been driving half a day and looked on Tripadvisor for a close restaurant. The Bay House was listed as one of the top ten places to eat in Lincoln City so I checked out their menu online. The menu has Duck breast and I always have it if it's on the menu. I was seated in the bar for some odd reason, it's off season and wasn't crowded. I had a wonderful salad and waited quite a while before my dinner arrived at the table. The presentation was nice but the DUCK BREAST was a CHICKEN HIND QUARTER. I was so hungry I ate it anyway even though this chicken was costing me $38. After I finished I told one of the servers that it was chicken. He said, "There is no way that was chicken!" I smiled and looked him in the eye and assured him it was. And he knew from his body language that he was lying to me. I also had dessert that was good. It was bread pudding with caramel ice cream. When I payed I made sure to tip a full 20% and wrote that it was chicken and that I was going to tell the world! In the end, because they are cons and wouldn't own it, I'll never eat there again and make sure I tell as many people as I can that the DUCK is CHICKEN! one star each for appearance, friendliness of staff, and presentation

Excellent food, very good service. Location was romantic w/wonderful sunset. Cost was admittedly high, but sometimes it works for the situation... I would recommend.
