The restaurant is beautiful. It's appointed with wood overtones and beautiful colors that all mesh together. The services Grand the servers are friendly but not intrusive. The food was very good. I chose the Italian pizza the crust was as thin as a cracker the meat was seasoned to Perfection and the pizza was delicious I also ordered a side of garlic toast that was wonderful.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch and drinks while touring the city. We were greeted with courtesy and swiftly seated. We split a delicious margherita pizza. Our server was very knowledgeable of the drink menu and helpful with suggestions. The happy hour selection was also decent.

The missus and I walked into Mama Mia's on a whim and sat at the bar for some food, beer, and wine, where Nick was the bartender on duty. We had caprese salad with house made mozzarella cheese, a pizza, the garlic bread, and a slice of the cheesecake. Lets start with the service. Nick went above and beyond to provide phenomenal service which included running a block to catch us to give us the to go we forgot. He was pleasant, professional, and helpful. Thank you, Nick. Now to the food. Everything exceeded expectations. The cheesecake? Wow! Okay, Nick, it is better than my dad's. The best I have ever had, and that, my friend, is a tall statement. This place has the winning combination.

At best the food is okay. You can find better Italian food at the same price point within the city. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because they had amazing service, fresh ingredients and good selection of wine and liquor.

We visited this restaurant for dinner on our first night in Portland. It was a busy restaurant. We didn’t make reservations so we sat on the bar lounge for our dinner. Our experience was wonderful. It’s a quaint spot with a good happy hour menu. Our server was helpful in making choices.
