I usually avoid meals with rice, the rice that came with my meal was fantastic. The rest of my meal was just as good. Eating primarily vegetarian, this restaurant had many choices for us. Both my wife and my meals were great. I will definitely come back. Real friendly staff and owner as well.

Great food and great ambience.. loved the service and view out to the Portland streets.. worth the price.. no parking in front of it though.. we pay parked on the street which was a 4 minutes walk away

The food is great, the atmosphere is nice. The owner comes around the tables and really makes you feel welcome. The lamb shawarma over hummus is delicious.

The food is always excellent, we've been dining here since 2005. It's been a few years since our last visit, (move) its wonderful and a rare treat nowadays to find a restaurant who's food quality and portions remain unchanged. Habibi has the best made from scratch Humus in Portland. I recommend a Mezza/Habibi platter paired with a Swarma plate, great for sharing with your "Habibi" (loved one / significant other).

Went in for lunch meeting on a Friday. They weren't slow, but there were still plenty of seats available. The food was amazing! The hummus and lamb shawarma was next-level, and the tzatziki was fantastic. Other reviews mention the rice - it really is fantastic. For the atomosphere, quality, and portion size I feel that Habibi is quite inexpensive for downtown Portland - I've paid far more for far lower quality. The manager (maybe the owner?) made us feel like welcomed long-time friends in his home... but in a very honest way, not phony. It's hard to decide if I liked the food or staff more - both were 5/5. I had a great time and meal here, and will definitely be back!
