A must visit in Portland you simply won’t find a restaurant like this anywhere else. The unique menu is delicious and the vodka selection is world class. The decor is authentic and the staff is very friendly. The dark breads are a rare find especially in the US. Go for happy hour to get a good sampling if you’re on a budget!

Russian cuisine is definitely not common fare, and Kachka makes it delicious. Highly recommend coming here for happy hour. They have two happy hour sessions every day, and with the earlier one, you can also order off the full menu. You don't want to miss out on the herring under a fur coat.

This place has nothing to do with modern Russian restaurants and traditional Russian cuisine. Design of the place is combination of all the stereotypes of The Soviet Union ( I mean you don't think that Russia looks like that, do you?). Food is average without any authentic spirit. I'm totally disappointed with dessert menu. "Lava" cake with porchini flavor... WHY? It's embarrassing((( Russian cuisine offers plenty of beautiful cakes and other amazing desserts and it's a pity that you can't cook at least one of them. Shame on you!

I loved this little place. I took my wife and we had a great flight of Russian vodkas and a variety of small dishes, all full of novel flavors for us that inspired our home cooking for weeks. The service was relaxed and professional but with personality, which was much appreciated. In terms of experience for the money, it ranks quite high. If you haven't been here yet, and enjoy quality-made food that might open your eyes to new flavors and flavor combinations, I highly recommend it.

Awesome place. Great food. Amazing vodka drinks. Superb service. Just go and experience it because you will not regret it. We ordered the caviar and three orders of dumplings to share, and then each got our own main. We had too much food but stuffed it down so as not to waste a bite.
