We've ordered from Monte Cello's for years, generally, their food is pretty good I have found there is a lot of inconsistency based on who is working the kitchen that day. Sometimes you'll get a top-notch pizza and at other times you'll get an okay pizza. They have a big menu with lots of options which is great. Their prices are a little on the high side for what you get but it isn't crazy, just something to keep in mind. This place is one of the few sit-down restaurants in the immediate area which means they do tend to get busy, it's not unusual to have a 30-40 minute wait for food, I'm not faulting the store for getting busy, just something else to consider if you plan on stopping in. All things considered, Monte Cello's has some pretty good food and a nice dining room and bar inside. There are a few things they could do a little better but it's unusual to be disappointed completely when you eat there, they are certainly worth a try!

I can't believe some of these other reviewers were eating the same food that we had. The pasta was a huge letdown. Spaghetti was mushy, sauce was meh, meatballs were probably from a frozen box. I was expecting Italian. This is yinzer Italian. So unless that's what you're expecting, you probably shouldn't order pasta here. The pizza is pretty good, but certainly not the best in the area. Drink prices were reasonable, and the service was fine, but otherwise there is no reason to go to this restaurant. Sorry guys.

Regarding their lunch buffet: if you arrive at 11:30 ( they open at 11 am) and are there for lunch buffet and arrive as one of their 1st customers you will find slim pickings when it comes to good pizza. All you will find is cheese pizza or pepperoni pizza. They have a wonderful pizza selection on their menu but you won't find them on their lunch buffet. Sometimes the soup & salad, ( part of their lunch buffet is not yet out. So if you are their on your lunch break - a third of your lunch hour is taken up waiting for them to get their act together and then alk you get us cheese or pepperoni pizza- that's great if you are a picky kid, but not an adult!

Here is my awful story of lies and deceit...Ordered 7 pizzas for son's birthday party at playground world 5 minutes away to be delivered at 5:30pm. Confirmed order at noon. By 5:40 pizzas had not arrived so called - was told by employee it was "on the way". Called back at 5:55 and spoke to another employee that said same thing. I asked him to contact driver to see where his location was. Was put on hold then told he contacted driver and was only "a few minutes away". Would not give an exact location. Still no pizza by 6:20 and called back. Talked to manager this time - was told snowfall had delayed driver. We were 5 minutes up the street and there was no snowfall so called her out on this. Later she finally admitted they hadn't put the pizza in the oven yet - so obviously we had been fed lies all night...instead of pizza. Had to be out of playground world by 7pm so this obviously ruined our evening and the 18 hungry kids there. I usually don't write reviews, but it was the awful lies by both employees and the manager that made me the most irate. At any point they could have actually confirmed the pizzas were not made and prevented this mess. This place lost our business and the business of the 8 families there. Strongly consider another place for mediocre pizza.

The dinners came at different times for our table. My husband's prime rib was cold and so was his green beans. We tried to order French fries and the waiter failed to tell us it came with sweet potatoes and charged us for the fries I tried to explain but he didn't care. There was a bug crawling up the wall. Not a good experience. Won't never eat there again.
