When we entered, the host who we later discovered was the owner greeted us by asking for our reservation. After I informed him we had none but before I could finish my sentence he made us aware of a thirty minute wait time. I proceeded to finish my sentence at this time asking if there were any open seats at the bar as our plan was just to stop in for a drink. He twice made me confirm "just drinks?" following the second reaffirmation he said "yeah, go ahead" and pointed down the hall to the bar. At this point my interaction with this man has already made both my wife and I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. My wife and I made our way to the bar and took a seat. The bar in front of our seat had a bill fold and a decanter blocking most of our space, we sat for about two minutes during which time the bartender did remove these items from our area but neglected to greet us, look at us or even acknowledged our existence. We proceeded to leave prior to being provided a menu or offered a beverage. My rating is 3-stars because I didn't have the opportunity to try the food or drink but the service and general attitude were subpar.

Nice staff and good menu choices........ Nice selection of specialty drinks, Absength bar is a fun experience....... The beautiful building is one of the historic "Millionaire's row" mansions. On Broadway, the main street, just a short walk from convenient parking at the train station or just across the street if available. Personal favorite is the Makers old fashioned........

Had an enjoyable dining experience at Encore. Conrad and team did a great job. The restaurant was warm and inviting and the food was delicious. They offer a nice variety of interesting drink options along with a menu full of delicious possibilities. The beet salad was notable and filet mignon was fantastic. The Tawnny Port was the perfect finish to the evening. I will be coming back again the next time I am in town!
