My first time at this place. It's a cute place. Seems to be quite popular. The food was great. I had the Breakfast club. Our waitress, Jules, was a trip. She is super skunky. I highly recommend but don't be surprised if you have to wait to be seated.

I've had some great experiences here and some disappointing ones. Their food is generally delicious and worth the wait (it gets very busy on weekends), but the last time my husband and I ate here, we were unhappy with the quality of the food. He ordered the pancake special, and 2/3 of them were completely raw in the middle. He didn't want to complain and ate the parts of them he could. I ordered their deluxe breakfast, and everything was cold by the time it got to me (I think our food was sitting in the window for a while). People that arrived 15 minutes after us got their food first. I think a lot of your experience at SC has to do with the waitress serving you; the older, more experienced waitresses make it a great time and check in with you more often while the younger waitresses rush you for your order and don't seem to care about good service. Will be back sometime, but won't be ordering the pancakes!

Great food and atmosphere! There were many items on the menu I wanted to try and the prices were very reasonable. Im definitely going to come back a few times to try the other menu options. 4 stars only because of the wait time. It was well worth the wait.

We love Shorty's. I think my wife would eat here every morning if she could. Why? The food is always outstanding. We have yet to have a bad meal. Their regular menu is very good, but if you want something different, pay attention to the specials on the chalkboard. There is always something good on there as long as you get there early enough before they disappear. The place is all manner of quirky: full of goofball art and hand-made/rebuilt furniture (I mean that as a compliment).

Great food, service, and people. Cozy little place and if you drive too fast down Charlotte, you'll miss it. Best breakfast in town.
