They have some really good food, but they often seem to be understaffed. The last time we were there, we were able to sit down relatively quick, but had to wait forever for the food to be prepared.

We arrived at 2pm on a busy Sunday in late September. But I am told, October & November is busier. We had a party of 6, one of which was a 95 year old. When greeted at the front, we were told there were no tables available. A group was just leaving, so we asked can we sit there. Ok but order while standing here, from the only menu because they don't have any other menus. The dishes were cleared but no one ever came to wipe the table. After sitting for 25 minutes, with a staff of 3 at the average age of 16, our waitress, no idea of her name, took our order. Then came the luke warm iced tea and she would find more straws somewhere, that didn't happen. When the grilled cheeses, side salad & Cole slaw came 30 minutes later, we asked for utensils. We were met with a look, like really? Why? The sandwiches were much better than the service. No one asked if we needed anything & had to wait for a check. Never again. If you aren't prepared now, can't imagine when it's busy.

Rustic and lovely restaurant. Nice employees. The best Reuben sandwich I've ever had! Delicious ice cream for dessert.

Nice atmosphere, but the food left something to be desired and the prices are too high!

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Two of us. Restaurant was not, by any means, crazy busy. A waitress took our drink orders, then food orders pretty promptly (food order included an appetizer). Our orders were sandwiches and fries. Approximately 1 hr passes. In that time, we flagged a different waitress to get us more drinks as we had not recieved our appetizer and the first waitress had not checked in on us again. We get another drink. No appetizer, had not been checked on again, no apology, nothing after one hour...? So another 1/2 an hour passes we flag down the second waitresss (again, WE got HER) attention and ask when our food would be out, or at least the appetizer. She said "let me go check". She came back out with our food and appetizer. Again no mention of how long it had taken or anything. We look at our baskets and each of us had maybe 10 fries at most as our side of fries. We Eat, head to check out. Waiting in line, a gentleman who had just finished using the restroom and went to leave passes the counter, the cashier (our first waitress who we never saw again) says "Have a nice day". The man either didn't hear her, or possibly had the same experience as a lot of us there that day, did not reply to her. So she screams "OKAY! Just ignore me then!" The people working there were unprofessional, goofing off, throwing things at each other. No wonder we had a bad experience. I know we aren't the only ones. We saw a few groups get up and leave and just pay for their drinks as they were having the same experience as us. Hire more staff, or more professional ones. I always have a wonderful time at Benezette. I love going there as many do. This was one of the worst experiences ever. First and last time at the Old Bull Cafe. Save yourselves time, money, and have a better experience: go somewhere else.
