Great Newport spot with long history. MUST HAVE the clam chowder. Wonderful. We will be ordering it online to have back home and hope it is as tasty. Sit outside if weather allows and take in beautiful Newport.

We’re from coastal New England and have stayed in Newport several times. Our latest stay was 3 days, and TBP was our worst meal. Dark interior with no view, disappointed there were no fried clams on the lunch menu, so ordered a roast beef sandwich on Syrian bread. What I received was a half full pocket of only roast beef and a dollop of sauce - no lettuce, cheese, tomato or anything, and they were not offered as additional items. The potato salad was good and half of the pickle slice was edible. Not worth $12. Will not be back.

The shrimp lettuce wraps were aweslme. Great patio setting. The menu does not have a ton of variety, however there are options for all types of eaters.

The best clam chowder in town! Great place to meet up with friends for daily dinner specials and the uniqueness of the small restaurant atmosphere.
