Was touring Newport for the day and needed to find a place for dinner. A your guide mentioned Jo's as one of her recommendations. After browsing the menu online I knew I wanted to check it out. I got there right at 5 when it open. Was promptly greeted and seated. I was solo dining and was waitress was friendly and attentive. I started with the American mule and had the mixed greens salad for an appetizer. Both were delicious and salad was a good portion. I was served warm rolls with butter too. My main course was the Salmon which was another good portion. For dessert I was torn between the Chocolate torte and the bread pudding and my waitress was helpful in describing them and I decided on the bread pudding. Delicious and another good portion. All in all I was very satisfied and would recommend to anyone in the area. A great dining experience!

Whenever I am in Newport, I enjoy having dinner here. Being off the tourist path appeals to me during the summer and honestly it is one of the best dinners we have had in Newport. I always find it consistently good. The service is outstanding and not too expensive. So I highly recommend.

Jo's was EXCELLENT! We arrived for our reservation and the table was already waiting for us. Our server Josh provided wonderful service and explained all of our menu options. We ordered the duck breast and the pork chop and both were incredible!! Easily one of the best restaurants in Newport for their service, quality of food and portion size. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The service, ambience and food were all top notch. My steak was melt in your mouth, even the kale was to die for. My server Vinny was courteous, prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The owner Jo stopped by and checked on us, showing her commitment and passion for what she does. I have worked as a server and in customer service 20 years and have high expectations, which they exceeded.

My wife and I went at 7:00 pm on a Friday night and was able to get a reservation from Opentable the same night two hours earlier. When we arrived we were seated quickly and got to enjoy live music while we were waiting for our dinner to arrive. Overall our experience was awesome and the food was very tasty. It's definitely a place where we would consider coming back to the next time we're in Newport.
