I have been going here periodically for over a decade. The food is good as is the service, although (like other reviewers I feel the food has slipped a bit). The place is in need of some updating. It hasn't seemed to change at all. The parking here has always been good even during high volume times, and the prices are more than reasonable. Overall still good.

The staff is very nice. Clientele are personable and down to earth. Food is what you would expect and didn't upset my stomach. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Prices are very reasonable.

Place is absolutely gross, I would never eat from there Han Palace that is about 8 buildings down blows them out the water, the waitresses that work there are all stuck up and walk around like they have a stick up there butt! Worst customer service of my life managers and owners are rude and do not put there customers first if you have an opinion they do not care and will express that they don’t care. They don’t run business professionally. Food is like rubber... Wouldnt waste any money on food or my time dealing with the people who work or own that place they need to be shut down for health reasons too place is dump!

I worked nearby for a week. Went there twice for lunch. The first time was alright, the food was decent and the service was ok. After we ate on the second visit, we got the bill and they charged about an extra 50% because they said it was a holiday. Must of been a holiday America doesn't recognize because there was nothing on the calendar. They didn't disclose the upcharge until we got the bill. Won't go back again.

Great food, large selection on menu, good service. I don't know, though. There's something missing. The place looks the same as it did when I was in high school 37 years ago. The '80's style decor (artificial flowers) were at one time vibrant, now they're faded and dusty. I've always been a person who counts 3 things in my dining experience. #1. Good food. #2. Good service#3. Good ambiance. The Islander needs to update so that they can show you how much the quality of their food means to THEM! They should showcase their really good food in updated surroundings. I love eating in beautiful dining rooms. But if this way, they can keep their prices low, I'll take them as they are.
