Lovely place. The food is really delicious, the serving sizes are good, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. The true gem of this place, however, was our waitress Julie Ann. She was super friendly, helpful, and our 5 year old son loved her. She made our stay really special. We only stayed in Charleston for two nights, but we came here for breakfast both mornings, because of the great way we were treated here. Would happily come back again!

We visited the cafe on Easter weekend and our experience was awesome. We loved this place. I liked their waiting app as it made easier for us to track our spot on the waiting list. Our waiter was attentive to our needs. Food was delicious and portions were huge. We will definitely go back.

I love this place! It was my first time in Charleston and I can't wait to go back to this breakfast place. It's super clean and nicely decorated, with a small bar in the corner. The waiters are all super friendly and the food I swear came in like 10 minutes. The food is delicious and not like tons of food. There's a wait of about 30 minutes but they text you when your table is ready and you can work your back to the restaurant. Go here.

A charming and lively local staple, across the street from the central market. Another Broken Egg offers delicious food, many with dietary sensitive options. I am vegetarian and enjoyed their Black Bean Benedict with Chipotle Sauce. Their raspberry grits were also a unique experience. The staff was very kind, happy and helpful. They didn't even complain that we camped for 2 1/2 hours while my party ate and talked. Overall a great experience.

Sorry to say, but we were very disappointed. Very little attention was paid to the small details; room temperature eggs, cool pancakes and city grits (aught to be against the law to serve cool grits in the south), menus stuck together because of syrup, etc. Most disappointing was that I explained to the waitress that I had to have my food as hot as possible. We sent the eggs and grits back, got the second order of grits hot but the eggs were shamefully the same way as before. We drove from Savannah for a weekend get away and this was our destination spot for my wife’s birthday breakfast. She was very excited to eat here after talking to Freinds from the area. Would have given less than half a star if that option was available.
