Hands down best brisket I have ever had in my life. Melted in your mouth. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Atmosphere had a rustic charm the south is known for. They serve a spicy ranch dressing that was tangy and creamy all in the same moment. Do yourself a favor and order the brisket

BBQ places these days seem to be suffering from taking themselves too seriously. The lady at the counter warned us that the plates were "a lot of food". Not being famished, we decided to share a brisket plate and get 2 extra sides. Once seated, drinks were a while in coming though we'd ordered at the counter. On the plus side, they came with a basket of the best pork skins I've ever tasted. Good thing we had them - the $16 brisket plate had about 6 oz of meat on it. Two sides and a roll came with, and we got those extra sides. Green beans, okra, coleslaw, and banana pudding. The food was good but really, not enough of it considering the price. A $16 plate at Pompous Pig in Anderson has enough meat for you to feel like you had some BBQ. And please label the sauces, guys. 3 bottles, all unlabelled. We got some extra skins to finish filling the void. The tea was good and the service as well. Overall not terrible but not worth going back.

You have to try the Brisket!!! Some of the best I've ever had. They do potatoes proud whether from sweet potatoes fries and casserole to potatoes salad. It's all yummy. Comfortable and ample sit down waiting area with a bonus of Andy Griffith show on tv if their busy. Drive thru available for take away orders. You'll leave satisfied with leftovers for your next meal.

Went to the Smokin' Pig today for the first time. After a short wait we were able to get a table and order. I had the PBR (Pork, Brisket, Ribs) combo with two sides for $17.95. The pork and ribs were delicious, the brisket I was not crazy about. It seemed to be very overcooked and flavorless. Service was friendly and prompt, the 4 available BBQ sauce were delicious. I will consider coming back again when in the area, but will not order the brisket again...

Great food and friendly staff! I'd highly recommend them! They are a little pricier than some other BBQ places we've visited in the area but if you're okay with that, you won't regret giving them a try!
