Very nice place. We went a little earlier in the evening and there was a great family atmosphere. Large beer selection on tap and the food was very good. The kids loved the grassy play area and the train track that was nearby so they got to see a train go by.

Overall my experience was ok at Hobo's this past weekend. The chicken and waffle sandwich that I had was very good and the BLT with fried green tomatoes was awesome as my friend described. My friend could not finish his pasta salad, but with me never declining food decided to try and finish it for him. The pasta salad was bad due to the oil that was on it, making me being able to only take a few bites. It was the weekend, so you would expect a lot of people, but any well run business has the necessary labor to accommodate it. When I arrived to Hobo's to when I received my food was about any hour, which to me is too much time to wait.

I had a very good experience at this establishment tonight. My friend and I both had the Vagabond burger with the pimento cheese and smoked bacon topped on it—very delicious. Service was a little slow, but definitely understandable since it was during the middle of March madness at peak time on a Friday night. I will definitely be going back. Nice addition to Metro Charlotte!

The service was not so great. The food was OK but we’ve had better. The fried “green” tomatoes were yellow and not the best choice texture wise. They were also a bit soggy. The accompanying grits and black eye pea salsa was delicious. My Cobb salad did now own up. The kids chicken tenders and fries were a hit! I think the location is more the attraction.

We just had the best lunch! My mom got the Carolina burger (said it was some of the best chili she’s ever had!) and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of teriyaki sauce and a side of ranch. All of their sauces and dressings are homemade, the service is friendly, the milkshakes are yummy, etc etc! I can’t say enough good about this place. We live in Concord and were just passing through on our way back from a trip and we were both so happy we did; we will be back!
