Sun Ming is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to. The service was very good. There was a little language barrier but she was friendly and worked hard to make sure our order was correct. The portion size are really good, always enough to share. You will enjoy your dining experience I highly recommend it.

I read the reviews and saw lots of positive things. The pictures of the inside were very inviting. I must say I am very pleased and I have been looking for a place with rice noodles. We spent $40 easily. Definitely new customers.. Oh yeah and they have a bar.. lol

Love Sun Ming!!!! Delicious food, as close to authentic Chinese as you will get in Columbia. If you like eggs and sprouts in your rice this is for uou!! Great atmosphere, great staff. Try them for lunch and you will be back for dinner!!!

I almost don't want people to know about this restaurant. The quiet atmosphere and clean, calm decor make it the perfect hideaway spot for those "in the know" to get a great meal. And a great meal it is! The quality of the food is always excellent. The fried foods are crisp to perfection. The greens have always been very fresh and never overprepped. Did you know "sweet and sour sauce" is supposed to have a sour flavor (and not be just pink liquid sugar)? I didn't until I tried it at Sun Ming. Every bite is as good as the first. I don't think there's better Chinese food in the city of Columbia and I would argue it closely competes with some of the best I've had in the larger markets of Atlanta and Charlotte.

We tried four dishes from the authentic Chinese menu which were all well prepared. The pepper salty squid was flavored with a small army of fried green peppers and green onions. Spicy fish filet in clay pot could have been a notch spicier but the broth was still rich and spicy. Pork stomach in mala sauce was tender and properly mouth-numbing spicy. Finally, the stir fried pea shoots while simply prepared, was seasoned just enough to highlight the fresh green taste.
