My mom and I went on a Sunday right during lunch time and had the most pleasant experience. I got a burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on their food that’s for sure. The service was great and I felt like I was among friends even on my first visit. Will definitely be going back often and bringing friends! Love having a local place right in Lexington that seems to really care about the authenticity and character of a local restaurant.

Great food, great atmosphere and great waitstaff! I wish I could go several times to try everything on the menu. We had a party of 7 who had 5 different dishes. We all loved the food. Great wine list too. I recommend the 7 moons if you like blended red.

I’ve gone to the Root Cellar twice this month and I haven’t been disappointed! The Root Cellar burger and the egg rolls are to die for!!! Service is also very great! Ashley and Kenny are some of the best servers and are so accommodating and helpful! They both were very informative and had great personalities each of visits! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great restraunt to try in Lexington!!!

Second time i have dined here and the place is excellent. Locally sourced product, fresh made, well prepared and tastes excellent. The server was polite and a lot of fun. It wasn't exceptionally busy the night we were in, so we had no long wait for food or drink service. Overall, outstanding. Will definately be returning again.
