We were excited to see and try Godfather's Pizza- a restaurant we hadn't seen in a couple decades. We came in between lunch and dinner, so it was very quiet- we were one of two parties in the restaurant. Service was prompt and courteous, the pizza was brought out rather quickly. We enjoyed the choice of the Humble Pie on the golden crust- very tasty! What we did NOT enjoy was the level of uncleanliness- tables and chairs were only partially clean; the floors under the tables closest to the counter (therefore obviously visible to the staff) were downright nasty with food debris under nearly every one; the soda machine was sticky and very unappetizing; the high chairs were all sticky and had food crusted on them, top to bottom. This led to some serious concerns about the state of the kitchen. The restroom was clean, which honestly surprised me, given the state of the rest of the place. The two (male) staff members had ample opportunity to be cleaning, since they had plenty of time to stand in the kitchen carrying on a very loud conversation that included mild profanity. I'd be willing to give this restaurant another try, but if conditions weren't greatly improved, I doubt we'd stay and order food again.
