Good atmosphere most of the time, can get really packed or be slow depending on when the after work crowd arrives. Friendly service good pub food and their vanilla ale has really grown on me. Offer growlers and I believe 6packs of cans to take with you, which aren't a bad deal and convenient. Pool opens up later on the weekends, and their garlic crust and cocktails live up to standards. Family friendly until 9pm and definitely fine for kids until then. Parking can take a bit if all the meters are full so plan accordingly if you arrive after 5/530pm

My wife, my son, and I decided to try Blackhorse last Saturday. After attempting to eat here about 3 weeks ago, we encountered a 1 and a half hour wait for a seat. This time we only had to wait about 20 min for table. The atmosphere is just what I would expect from a micro brew type place. We ordered the artichoke dip with peta bread and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken sandwich and my wife had the burger. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The best side was the Mac and cheese. Delicious. I just wish the restaurant had a bit more space. It felt crowded and stuffed, so we felt rushed to finish our first d. We give was great and timely. I would recommend to anyone to eat here. Just make sure it’s not a peak time of you want a table before next Christmas.

The food was very good. The chicken tenders we're super yummy and I went out of my normal realm of food and got the chicken breast with ham, cheese, and pineapple, so worth it! I just wish there was more pineapple on it. We had a party of 12 for Sunday at brunch time and only had to wait about 10-15 min. The beer was pretty good. I got the vanilla one. It smelled just like cre soda, and tasted pretty good. My husband the actual beer drinker in the family got flight and didn't really like any of them. Overall this place is definitely worth trying out.

Blackhorse is a staple of downtown Clarksville and a local favorite of many of the college students there. The menu is diverse with pizza, salad, entree selections like steak and chicken, and a nice spread of appetizers. The beer cheese dip is a favorite of mine, and I like their burgers as well. Service is generally fast and seating not a problem. They carry a decent selection of draft and canned/bottled beer. I'm not a personal fan of some of their own brews like the Barnstormer but everyone has their own particular tastes.

Great food, great beer, great service, great location Excellent beer selection and the food is delicious. I'm happy to wait up to an hour just to eat here, and my husband and I really love to come and have a drink at the bar even if we're not eating dinner because the location and building itself are just awesome. They have a separate bar upstairs for 21+ which also has dart boards and pool tables and often has live music and is a really neat space too. The only downside is that Clarksville bars still allow smoking by law, so I try to avoid going upstairs and just enjoy drinks in the restaurant if we're not eating dinner. I buy their beer at Mulligan's a lot too, just because they're that good! Gotta have some at home too. :)
