My husband and I went to this restaurant last Friday for the first time when the temperature outside was 28 degrees. Both he and I had our hats on naturally. We walked in and told the hostess “dinner for 2”. She asked where we would prefer to sit, the bar section or the dining room. We preferred dining room. Then she said, ‘we have a no hat policy by the way’. It says also on the door. First impression of any place usually does it for me. That statement made the whole experience negative and I don’t plan on going back to it. I am sure i can find another more welcoming restaurant around. Maybe they should consider their no hat policy when it is below freezing outside. It was not like we were going to eat with our hats on. It is sad that the hostess’ action overrode the sweetness of our server. He was very sweet. On our way out, we saw 4 people at the bar with hats on. Maybe the policy applies to some and not to others.

I stopped here just passing through the town on found a gem! They offered a very unique menu that had the feel of a hunting cabin. They were very expensive but offered up food and setting that was different for even high end restaurants!

I highly recommend this restaurant. I was able to make a reservation online which was extremely convenient. They called me and confirmed the day of. Our server, Nick, was excellent. He gave us a brief history of the bistro. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Our meals were excellent. We had the game platter which I would recommend to any first time customer. Our food was brought out in under 7 minutes of ordering. Great atmosphere and very clean.

Great atmosphere, good entrees (my husband's steak was ordered medium rare and came out very rare), long wait times in between courses, slower drink refills than most other restaurants, my son's spaghetti (marcorni noodles)were awful the sauce tasted sour and I agreed with him but they still charged us for the plate even though we sent it back and exchanged for the pizza which we found out used the same sauce but was more bearable. I only ordered him the spaghetti thinking it was a good safe choice in this kind of restaurant, I was just really dissappointed in the taste and small charge still left on my bill. The pork belly and goat cheese appetizers were great.

My husband and I ate here tonight for the first time. We drove from Georgia after looking over their menu and reviews online. We were excited to try something new. We were seated quickly with no wait which was nice and unexpected. We were looking over the menu and I had noticed that the item I was interested in that I had seen online wasn’t on the menu. When the waitresses arrived I asked about the turkey burger and she looked at me and said you will have to get up and go sit and eat at the bar for that item we will not serve that at the table. I was a bit confused to why I couldn’t order something that was currently being cooked in the same kitchen but apparently I wasn’t sitting in the preferred area to be served the turkey burger. So I decided on a potato since everything on the menu was well over priced. My husband order the game platter be ware this is a very small platter we were totally expecting more food. Our service was terrible we had to constantly ask for refills and bread. We want be going back very over priced and unable to order what you want unless you are sitting in their preferred area.
