The service was prompt but not particularly friendly. I ordered unsweetened tea and was brought sweet tea. The food was prepared very authentically, but spiced for tourists, almost no spice/heat at all. Even the salsa for chips was about the heat and consistency of Spicy V8. I even asked for a hotel salsa and was ignored. This would be a great place to take someone who can't eat spice but wants Mexican food. I have to say it was tasty, just everything needed to be much more picante. The bottom line is it was very good but more than a little disappointing.

Great prices, hot food, and nice enough service! And I disagree with the part that says "small plates", I think they are the perfect size. But I can agree with other reviewers that the food lacks authentic spice. And I'm not talking about spiciness, I mean flavor. I ordered the chicken chimichanga (as pictured) ($6.95 for lunch) and it was good! But the pulled chicken tasted just like a Food City/Walmart roasted chicken, not the seasoned up with green pepper and onion, etc. that you're used to.

Finding good Mexican food is hard in the South. But this restraunt is the best and closest place I've found to serving good Mexican food. The atmosphere is lively and staff are helpful and nice. The menu offers a wide vareity and reasonable prices.

It was ok. If you're really hungry you're out of luck. Go to El Sazon, bc they give you more food for your buck!!

Great food good service. Well priced for those pinching pennies. Drinks never are empty as servers keep you topped off. Big portions make for full belly an being the type of food , happy colons.
