River Heights Restaurant has been my favorite catfish restaurant since the 1970s although I don't drive over there as much since I moved further away. I have only been there three times since their remodel but I love eating there and watching the river and boats. But yesterday was the first time I and my wife were truly disappointed in our meal. We did not actually get what we ordered. We ordered catfish with fries and instead of fries were served potato wedges. The potato wedges were lightly seasoned and had Little taste. The hush puppies were also tasteless. The catfish was slightly undercooked and the breading would not adhere to the fish. The worst part of the meal was the tarter sauce, if it could even be called that, which tasted awful. It had a strange flavor we could not place. We left a lot of uneaten food on our plates and will not return to a restaurant we have always enjoyed.

Salad bar was great. Loved my steak, it was cooked to perfection, which of course meant no steak sauce. The TN river view is a bonus.
