I love El Monterrey! I go down there for lunch almost every time I work a long day at my own job for big beer and good eats. I love to get the Mexican-style tacos, which are an authentic offering at a very reasonable price. When I'm slumming it to save money I'll get the American style soft tacos which are still fabulous and only about $5 for 3. I've also eaten a lot of other things on the menu on dates and such and never been disappointed. The servers are always friendly and prompt and happy to talk to me in English or my limited Spanish, which I enjoy practicing in real world settings like restaurants. 10/10, would recommend, and often do.

Best Mexican food and employees in Chattanooga if you go there once you will go back happy hour. Mon thru Thursday on the best margaritas in town and beers draft and bottles tv's all around the Resteraunt. Manager Sergio Torres is the best manager helps his employees always there even on his off days if someone needs off. Nathan is the other manager who also works hard to help his employees and is my favorite person there he is very nice and would give you the shirt off his back. All of the servers are very friendly and do a good job. The cooks are awesome at there job food comes out very quickly and most plates are very hot also and if something is wrong they fix it right away with no attitude. I recommend everyone must try this place out good lunch specials and also run different one every night the week. Very clean restrooms and bar. I promise you won't be disappointed they are located right beside dollar tree in the corner small family owned best Mexican food and service in Chattanooga give them a try you wont be disappointed.

I went in for lunch with a co worker. The steak burrito I got was made very well, the rice and beans were also very good. Good pricing and service. All in all a very satisfying meal, I would definitely return.

Food was terrible, service was extremely slow 15 minutes to get chips and salsa plus drinks, staff unfriendly and angry hardly any other customers. I got sick from the meal I don't recommend this restaurant. Go to El Metate and enjoy your meal!

Great hot plate type Mexican place. Food was really good yet cheaper. Margarona was great. It's honestly our new favorite quick local hot plate Mexican food place. We'll definitely be coming back.
