Pretty low key for dinner on Mother's Day. Background music was good. I was so impressed with the service and knowledge from my server. I got the NY Strip on the menu. Amazing! I asked the waitress "how many oz of steak is this" & she immediately answered, "6.5." I figured she would have to ask the kitchen. I would have given this 5 stars but I found the bar experience poor. My table was near the bar and the bartender was loud talking with a loud bar paton with no proprietary to the experience of the upscale dining experience to the table nearby. You would have thought it was a sports bar by the way they were loud and a ruckus. Luckily that patron left early and the loud bartender had no one to talk to. And because the bartender was so preoccupied with is bar clamoring, I received my appetizer before getting my drink -- which were ordered at the same time.

I usually sit in the bar area and get great service. The last time I went I sat in the dining area and got terrible service. However, the food is great and the drinks are wonderful. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting up with friends for a nice but laid-back time.

First time at Parkside. Did not have reservations for Friday night, but was able to get seated. Food was good, serving size was just the right amount of food. Four stars due wrong wine was brought to the table and server disappeared at times. Would go back.
