The word amazing does not begin to describe the experience we had at Lonesome Dove. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. When asked for recommendations for food and beverage choices they offered honest opinions, not just the most expensive item on the menu. The food...probably the best meal I have had in Austin! Going through the menu as recommended (three courses) was a great way to get a sampling of the spectacular food Lonesome Dove has to offer. Great place for date night and close to 6th street for after dinner entertainment. Loved the Lonesome Dove Austin experience from beginning to end!

This place has awesome food that you won't find anywhere else. Service was excellent, food was superb and the menu is unbelievable with variety. This is a 4 course meal type of place. Interior is well designed with a western flavor to the decor. Be warned it's very expensive but it was our wedding dinner with accompanying friends. Unfortunately this is a place I can only go to maybe once or twice a year. If you want something truly different with higher quality this is your place. It's downtown Austin but a large parking garage is across the street.

Six of us had dinner at Lonesome Dove. After an opening round of cocktails, we started with the Duck, Rabbit, Rattlesnake Sausage, Pistachios, Black Mission Figs. The sausage is sliced razor thin and we each had one or two slices. It was very tasty but it tasted a bit like bologna! Next we tried the Wild Boar ribs whiich were delicious. I went for the Roasted Garlic Stuffed Beef Tenderloin, Western Plaid Hash, Grilled Asparagus. The tenderloin was overcooked due to bad advice from our waiter. Usually tenderloin is eaten medium rare but this was closer to medium well. Overall, it was a pleasant evening, albeit expensive evening, in a unique but very noisy restaurant setting.

Amazing food, great staff, perfect atmosphere. The only bad part was valet. I feel Tim and the team need to fire 360 parking and hire a customer service focused valet company. Park in a nearby garage is my advice. Pretty bad when the valet service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. High quality ingredients, great Lonesome Dove staff and to have the valet who greet and last see your guest are the one to ruin your experience?
