Great experience! Had the Greek salad with a seared to order tuna steak. Nathan the server was attentive, kind and knew the menu well! Was also very nice to my dog whos a puppy and still getting used to new people. Highly recommend. No pretension or snooty attitude here. Just hip, nice folks slinging great local fare!

Stopped in for lunch while our nearby room was being cleaned. Our family of 5 was traveling from WI and the hotel recommended to come here to eat. The service was so slow! It was about 1:30 in the afternoon and a slow time, maybe 4 tables were being served. There was plenty of servers standing around not working. We did enjoy our food however. Chicken tortilla soup, manicotti, French toast and the cheeseburgers were all great!

Last meal in Austin and it was a good one! I have to say I was a bit skeptical when first coming to this place especially when the menu offers a lot of variety. I ordered the tuna and my husband ordered the pork chop, both were amazing. Best part: wasabi mashed potatoes, hands down!

Hostess was accommodating and the lunch bartender seemed like he had 8 arms! He was all over it making sure everyone was having a good time. BLT on wheat was great.

Millie & I go to the Zax Restaurant often and always at the bar to visit our favorite bartender gal and sometimes even the owner sits down and adds a story or two. We love the atmosphere inside or out and the food is par excellence and consistent. A great Austin original and a great Austin treat. Sincerely way worth it. Thanks y'all-
