You can definitely tell when the manager is in or out. On both of the last 2 visits, the young ladies working behind the counter and delivering food to the customer's tables can frequently be seen sitting with classmates or friends visiting and chatting. Never saw much of this while Darcel was present. Orders recently are never accurate, hot food is delivered cool or cold, and it does no good to customize an order (because if ordering a burger WITHOUT tomatoes and pickles the sandwich still comes out with everything or nothing) Last night the service was slow, but the young lady behind the counter had time to eat, sit, and talk to her friends while our order sat on the shelf.

It took 45 minutes to get a steak finger basket, some chicken strips and an order of chicken and dumplings . . . if that's what you want to call it. And we came right before the dinner rush. Stick with Whataburger when in Cuero.

iT was friendly. Felt Very hometown-ish We enjoyed the SPECIALs and the taste was alright. (*Burger, fries) iT was a little more laid back than gettin attention right away at the counter, thus Four stars
