This review is going to sound dramatic but I really do love this place that much. I can never eat at a different Italian place without pining for Salerno’s. This place is an iconic staple for my family. They’ve catered my family members birthdays, both my siblings weddings and have been our go-to dinner place for years. It’s always been owned by the same people and many of the servers, hosts, etc. have been working there for as long as we’ve been going there (aka forever). The food is incredible. You know it’s good when the free bread and oil they bring out even blows your hair back. Their house salad made me believe in vegetables as a child. Their pizzas are amazing. Thin crusts are just the vehicle for the best sauces, cheeses and toppings you’ll ever taste. Lasagna night is a delight. Deann’s cannelloni is universally beloved (ordered half Alfredo, half succa sauce). Their spaghetti and meatball is just plain old good and right. Everything is made from classic, family recipes. I’m a good cook and could make most of this stuff on my own but I could never replicate the distinct flavors of Salerno’s.

The food and atmosphere are always wonderful. It's one of Flowers Mound's oldest restaurants. I love their gluten free pasta the best but I have many other favorites. Great pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and love their house salads!

I really love the sauce here, and it makes everything with it even more delicious. I think the wine is too high priced. The house wine is awful and they want 8.99 a glass. I am sure the whole 1.5L bottle cost that much. Use cheap wine for house I am cool with it, but it better be half the price of the bottle. The wine list is very high end, but sometimes I don't want to spend 35.00 for a bottle or 9 for a glass. The food is fabulous and I will be back

Oh my God! It was like being at an family home food being from California Love Italians food I've tried a few here so so till tonight Wow flavor like homemade portion enough for two cozy also will go back again did I say We rolled out lol great place 5 stars!!!

Always a great experience here. The food is authentic, and the staff are great. They treat everyone like family.
