My husband and I stopped in on our drive from Florida to Scottsdale. I chose this place from some of the reviews. It's very simple, but I wasn't expecting anything more. I ordered the Bienvenidos and my husband ordered the steak and chicken fiestas and both were Very good, even the beans were good and I don't typically eat them. I would definitely recommend this place when in the area.

We were on our way to Dallas from Big Bend National Park and stopped at this place for a lunch. We were afraid that it would take long for food to arrive but, to our surprise, it came pretty fast and was quite good. We were also pleased with customer service. One thing that I would recommend is that they describe the level of spiciness in their dishes appropriately. I am not a fan of spicy food and asked specifically how spicy the dish was before I ordered it. I was told "if you could eat that salsa (that comes with chips), you could eat that dish fine". Unfortunately, the dish came way too spicy than salsa. I had to switch it with my partner and ate their beef fajita that was truly delicious.

Awesome authentic Mexican food. Friendly service. Great atmosphere. If I'm ever back in Fort Stockton I will definitely stop in again.

Never again. Beware... some of the pictures you see on the reviews aren’t from the restaurant. They were probably pulled from the internet. You’ll tell right away which ones I’m talking about. They’re too blurry to miss. We came in thinking it was better than Tacos OJ but I guess we were wrong. The restaurant should change it’s name to “Welcome ‘Amer...xican’ restaurant” and translate it’s entire menu to English. We order a plate called “Ranchero” (the cowboy). The meat was a patty burger covered in cheese with fries and two slices or white sandwich bread. Really! Bread? Then, we also ordered the “corona steak taco” and I have to say for $12.96 I was expecting more than 3 tacos. The beef on the tacos was the kind you get on philly cheese steaks. I ate more tortilla than protein. Service was very slow! We waited close to 50 minutes to an hour to get our food. I recommend that if you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant, please look elsewhere because this restaurant is far from being a Mexican restaurant.
