If you are looking for an old fashioned family style meal Babe's is a place to try. There are several locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. For reasonable price you get a choice of chicken, chicken fried steak, or fried catfish and unlimited sides of green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy. The food is good. Each location has unique fun decor. The restrooms are clean. The staff is friendly and they have deserts that are worth trying if you have room after the generous meal portions.

Food is delicious but a little pricey ($15 a plate) but you do get quiet a lot of food and variety. They have 4-5 choices of plates (catfish, chicken fried steak, fried chicken, roast chicken, or chicken tenders) and it comes with salad and sides (usually mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, etc) all served family style so that your table splits everything. The best is the biscuits with honey though! I nearly filled up just on them. Nice atmosphere and great service!

Went to eat for Mother's Day. Was seated quickly BUT after several other people were seated and waited on we decided to leave. There were 3 young ladies doing the seating. A waitress waiting a table near us with another waitress just talking away to the people at the table. I'd say we were there at least 20 minutes with no one waiting on us. VERY disappointed. The youth now days aren't taught to do their jobs very well or to even think for themselves when it comes to waiting on others. It's very sad and very disappointing. Was really looking forward to the food, unless like the service it has gone down as well.

Fantastic! Our family had great food and a fun time, even a special guest at our table. Best chicken fried steak I've had in a long time. Everything was great, fried chicken, mashed potatoes & green beans, although it is all they serve so I expected the food to be good and it was. We would be happy to return.

Babe's has an amazing selection of main courses! Every course is accompanied by an endless train of sides. What an wonderful place to meetup with family and loved ones for some good southern cooking. I have yet to find something on the menu that is disagreeable. The wait staff are always friendly an outgoing, they really make you feel like family!
