A great place to visit. We went during the blue bonnet season with family. The wait was about 90 minutes to get seated. So we went down the street and checked out some other cool locations. When we got back the food was good and the table was ready. Highly recommend. Just be ready for the wait.

This is our second visit to Bevers. This time we had the chicken salad sandwich with fries and chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. We also ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. First of all, we ordered waaaaay too much food for 2 people. But it was all top notch! The rings and chicken were battered with a homemade batter. The chicken salad was made with fresh chicken breast and had small bits of apple in it. Even the sandwich bread was homemade. Don't do what we did, but leave room for pie instead. They have at least 5 flavors and they all look delicious. Last time I had the chicken salad in an avocado half and my husband had chicken and dumplings. They were great as well. That time we left room for pie. We had the buttermilk pie and it was amazing!

Most often, the food is very good but occasionally not so much. The daily specials are good but, get there early if you think that's what you want. The pies are wonderful. Service is slow but that's not a problem for me. I'm local and eat here a probably once per month. Prices are fair. Environment is cheery and cute.

Love this place. Good home cooked food. Service is good. And food is consistently good. Great place to stop by for lunch.

Good country cooking. Especially like the grilled catfish with fried okra. The salads are also really good.
