This had to be the worst Japanese food I had in Houston. Had food poisoning and diarrhea after having lunch here. First impression when I walked in the restaurant was it smells like they just used the toilet detergent to clean the place. Very strong unpleasant odor. Anyways, I ordered the lunch bento, had a first bite on the beef but it tasted funny and stale. Didn’t think much until I swallowed it and there’s this weird aftertaste as if the beef has been sitting for days. Chicken skewer came out cold and it is as if it was taken out of the freezer and didn’t cook long enough. Tuna sashimi also doesn’t seem fresh. 1 Star was given for the service which was quick. Would not return.

Very authentic. The setting could be Tokyo! Generous portions of fish for your sushi or sashimi. The place has been in business since at least the 70s in the same location. Excellent service, as you would expect.

Good Japanese restaurant, the menu has a lot of options and the staff are very nice. The 4 stars is because the sashimi, I know that is very popular big piece of sashimi and sushi in US, but became difficult to put in your mouth. Some more traditional restaurant prepare small pieces of sushi and sashimi to fit in your mouth.

Great food and hospitality. Our favorite sushi in Houston. Family friendly and not pretentious.

Tiger, the Sushi chef and the rest of the crew make this place my favorite sushi spot in town. Very traditional, low key and friendly atmosphere.
