Cheery bright little restaurant in an area where it fills a need for such a venue. Fare is simple, homey and cheap. Although the dishes are mostly ordinary, it's popular with the senior citizen crowd. Advise staying with hanburgers and beef specials. And the desserts are quite good. Service staff are friendly and helpful.

We loved the selection of foods and drinks. The waitress was very attentive and personable. The service was quick. And I love that breakfast is served all day. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I ordered my eggs "over medium" but they came well done. Otherwise, I highly recommend this cafe.

Best waffle ever. Chicken was rancid SO they didn't charge us. Hubby said the CFS was good but the mac&cheese was not. Overall the staff was great and the place was clean! I'd go back for that waffle any day!

Decided to try this place out for the first time and I have to say I'm really impressed. The food was cooked perfectly and the waitress was as attentive as she could be with how busy it was. I used to go to La Tapatia for my breakfast tacos but I think those days are behind me. Hit the Spot Cafe did exactly that.... Hit the spot. If you're looking for great breakfast food, definitely stop by this place, you won't regret it.

Quite good. Crispy fries and fried okra. And the liver and onions is great too. Good service and terrific value. Certainly will be returning.
